The big moment , the big trip

...so this is it...

I've finished college... I'm a civil engineer with all the right paperwork... but I'm just not feeling the satisfaction of just ending with the degree... it's like there was nothing ( apart from some fantastic friends :) ) . There was no "ending with a bang" or drum-roll...

So I'm planing to hike around Europe with a fiend. Just hitchhike with a few euros, tent, basic(absolutely necessary gear) and my camera. We plan on going as far as possible... until mental or physical breakdown :)

We just want to get the hell out of here and see what the rest of the world looks like, is it great , is it sad, is it beautiful, is it shocking... we want to see it.

Our main goal is to reach the Czech Republic going through Hungary and Slovakia... From there... either way. The only main plan is to reach the Czech Republic

So I come to you dear friends... and ask for some of your knowledge. any piece of information you might have regarding such a way yo travel.

-What to take...
-what not to take ...
-what to avoid ...
-what to see...
-where can we put up a tent with no problems...
-where to eat well and cheap...
-what means of travel to take...
-what to see and how to get there...
-how to make a few euros , just enough to buy some food. (prostitution is a big NO ! :D )

-and a big etc, there are a lot of questions and we ask ourselves lots each hour... but maybe some of you might have some specifics

any thing, any little piece of advice would be magnificent.

He writes from sadness, suspicion, frustration, anger and rage…
Bleeding out his soul, filling every pale white page.
Holding the pencil like a sword of spiritual wrath.
Driving his knowledge throgh a logical path.

Who’s he to speak of deviance and fanaticism?
When his every breath is covered cynicism.
Building around him a wall of self perspective,
Now he can only walk backwards in retrospective...

Retracing the steps of his failed logic.
Griming at what once seemed nostalgic,
Regretting the wrong choices made in a calculated life.
Now opens a new chapter… the disgusting social strife...

I finally have a chance to upgrade from my PowerShot S5 to something more...

I'm currently oscillating between the Nikon D90(with 18-105mm lens) and the Canon EOS 550(with 28-105mm lens).

The biggest issue for me is image quality. It's not about the HD filming, it's not about the looks of the camera (although I have to admit the D90 is pretty sexy), it's not about the button layout, it's not about the viewfinder, not about the 11/9 focus points... It's all about image quality, mostly when using high ISO values...

It's not a general question... for answers like "choose canon for the 18mp" or "choose nikon for the top display"... It's all about which sensor delivers the best image quality. It's all about the sensor for me...



so... which and why ? :)
